Ron, do you think Romine will be the primary catcher going forward?

Don't know... He has the reputation of being a good defensive receiver that pitchers like to work with. Time will tell I guess.

I haven’t seen him in a single game, yet I already know he’s a huge improvement over Pappy.

I think it's more like the Reds from 1982 through 1985 (until Bo Diaz arrived). Lots of backup catchers, but no primary catcher.

    Catching appearances, 1982-85
    Dann Bilardello - 215
    Alex Treviño - 183
    Dave Van Gorder - 157
    Brad Gulden - 100
    Alan Knicely - 78
    Bo Diaz - 51 (acquired 8/8/85)
    Mike O'Berry - 21
    Steve Christmas - 7
    Johnny Bench - 6
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.

Sadly Klu I think you nailed it. Knicely put up some good AAA numbers. Was terrible behind the plate. He was definitely a 4A guy. That's before 4A label was a thing.
I'd forgotten Bench caught 5 games in 82. I know he only caught on Bench night in 83.
I didn't think he caught at all after 81.

Aquino and Almora back to back in the lineup. That makes it a AAAA lineup

Not sure how to post a pic anymore but I’m at Camden Yards right now. It’s pretty sweet.

Actually, it was 1 game in 1982, and 5 games in 1983.

Is there any way to watch this game if Fox is carrying the Cardinals and Yankees here?

I've only been to 8 different parks. But Camden is by far my favorite of the ones I've saw. Saw Votto hit 2 HRS there.

The Brewers “Brew Crew” baby blues might be the worst of all the City Connect uniforms.

Edit: They look like the uniforms of a team in 80’s Baseball Arcade game.
