What this league did was nothing special. I figured (incorrectly) that they secured national tv deals that gave them an income stream. That was not the case. Apparently they paid these networks to have their games on the air. Well anyone with deep pockets can do that but it's not a sustainable business model.

So I ask, does XFL have a tv deal that'll give them an income stream?
What? I was talking to you, and I did say something about football.

I do think it's odd that Vince is going in for a second go around. He must think he has something figured out. They've got to find an edge someway. I think the best way is to try and grab the best high school prospects.
    WHEN DOES IT STOP!?!?

Maybe he's got more money now. WWE signed a deal with Fox that will put its shows there. Maybe they will do the same for the XFL.

XFL has a TV deal. They'll get no money from it but I guess it's better than the AAF deal in that it's not going to cost them anything

Terms of the three-year deal weren’t disclosed, but people familiar with the matter said no cash is changing hands. Disney and Fox will keep all the television advertising inventory for the games and cover production costs while the football league will sell sponsorships, the people said.

Let's see if it can last a couple yrs. The test will be how much McMahon is willing to lose on this.
