    you did not even get to "experience" 1990...I was just becoming a teenager and big Reds fan, but still looking back I do not think I really grasped how big of a deal it was

    If you told me Sal Romano would finish this game, I would have figured it was a blow out loss.

    You are correct, I can vaguely remember the games being on - my dad would turn the TV in my room onto the ball games when I went to bed. But I had no grasp of it.

    I slowly started becoming more of a fan through the 90’s, culminating into diehard fandom around 1999 and especially when Junior came to town.


    I remember thinking during the 2000 season “gosh, they haven’t won it all since 1990? That’s so long ago!” And now, 10 years would put them at having won it all in 2010 which would practically feel like yesterday.

    Not the one against the Mets, which Reds lost, the one against the Cubs at Wrigley.
