Good to see the Cowboys get a deal done with Elliott. I don't think it's a bad thing for either him or the team that he missed training camp, either.

I really wish they'd make these sorts of decisions BEFORE my fantasy draft!

Nobody wins a ffb league because of their draft.

You still have as much of a chance as anyone else.

    Packers and Bears are ready.

Aaron Rodgers gets to show what he can do without "being held back".

Good move by Green Bay- they weren't afraid to quickly admit they made a mistake. Something the Reds will never do.

OK, so the NFL season didn't begin Thursday with Chicago and Green Bay, but it kind of was NFL football.

Good defense by GB combined with an atrocious offensive game plan by CHI. The Bears’ run/pass split was 15/45 despite never trailing by more than 7 the entire game.

After Brown apologized to the team, Gruden said that they are counting on him playing Monday night.

Robinson was highly effective, but, as you say, poor decision-making failed to take advantage of his abilities.

So great not having to watch McCarthy stumbling and bumbling around on the sidelines.

    MARQUISE BROWN
    WR, BALTIMORE RAVENS

Updating an earlier report, Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed Marquise Brown (foot) will play against the Dolphins in Week 1.
There was some concern over Brown's Week 1 availability after he sat out Friday's practice, though Harbaugh put those worries to rest with his latest remarks. A DeSean Jackson clone, Brown has the skill set to be a difference-making deep threat, though it's probably best to wait and see how he meshes with Lamar Jackson (who has never been Mr. Accurate) first before employing him in fantasy.

    ODELL BECKHAM
    WR, CLEVELAND BROWNS

Odell Beckham (hip) was a full participant in Friday's practice.
Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens said Beckham is "ready to go." Beckham's hip hadn't "opened up yet" while running yesterday, but it appears that he'll play through his injury. Beckham is an obvious WR1 against the Titans, though the floor is lower than usual.

    ANTONIO BROWN
    WR, OAKLAND RAIDERS

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, there is now a "real chance" Antonio Brown plays in Monday's Week 1 game against the Broncos.
Sometimes real life truly is stranger than fiction, particularly when it involves Antonio Brown. Word out of Oakland was that the Raiders were planning to suspend Brown for their season opener with some thought even given to voiding his contract due to detrimental conduct. But after apologizing in emotional fashion at a team meeting Friday morning, the Raiders have begun to rethink their hard stance on Antonio and may let him suit up Monday night. Brown has been given countless chances to correct his behavior this offseason with little change in temperament, but it sounds like the Raiders are willing to give him another shot. There aren't many work environments where you'd be allowed to keep your job after threatening the boss, but obviously the NFL isn't your typical 9-5. The Raiders may let this one slide, but the erratic Brown remains a ticking time bomb. It's only a matter of time until his next saga.

    ANTONIO BROWN
    WR, OAKLAND RAIDERS

According to ESPN's Josina Anderson, Antonio Brown delivered an "emotional apology" at a team meeting Friday morning.
This comes on the heels of an earlier report from Anderson, who provided insight into Brown's much-discussed blowup on Mike Mayock earlier this week, noting that AB called the GM a "cracker" while spewing a stream of other choice words we're not allowed to print on this site. Team captains reportedly "stood" with Brown after his remarks Friday, offering hope that a reconciliation can be reached. Apologizing is a good first step but the Raiders have to be fatigued by the rollercoaster their star receiver has put them through this offseason. His status for Week 1 and beyond remains a mystery.

    MARQUISE BROWN
    WR, BALTIMORE RAVENS

Marquise Brown (foot) didn't practice on Friday.
Brown was added to the Ravens' injury report Thursday, but was listed as a full participant. Friday's DNP is obviously a cause for concern, though it's possible the Ravens had planned this as a maintenance day for Brown all along. Even if he suits up Sunday in Miami, Brown carries too much risk to be a useable fantasy piece in Week 1.

    MIKE EVANS
    WR, TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Mike Evans (illness) didn't practice on Friday.
A stomach bug has been making its way around the Buccaneers locker room and apparently Evans has caught it. Coming down with an illness this close to game day is never ideal, though the expectation is that Evans will be fine for Sunday's opener against the Niners. A marvel of durability, Evans has missed a combined three games in five NFL seasons. He'll be a no-brainer WR1 in a game that has shootout written all over it.

    TYREEK HILL
    WR, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Chiefs signed WR Tyreek Hill to a three-year, $54 million contract extension through 2022.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the deal includes $35 million in guarantees. It's a nice payday for the fourth-year field-stretcher, whose $18-million annual salary matches Odell Beckham for second-highest among wide receivers. Hill's sordid past including a domestic violence arrest in college and recent allegations of child abuse have made him a controversial figure, though his on-field impact has been immeasurable for the Chiefs, who enter the year as Super Bowl favorites. One of the fastest receivers the game has ever seen, Hill remains an almost impossible matchup for opposing DBs. The 2016 fifth-rounder had been in the final year of his rookie deal.

Antonio Brown reports he will not play week 1...

Raiders voided his guarantees by fining him for conduct detrimental making his contract week to week.

He has asked the Raiders for his release.
