yet, the guy who did more with less got fired. and the guy who did less with more got an extension. i admire how the cardinals do not (mess) around at all.
Yes, I do see the difference, the Cardinals have had nine managers in the last 57 years and the Reds have had 22.

i didn't say he had "so much to work with." i said i would take the reds' 2021 roster over the cardinals' 2021 roster, which also had plenty of flaws. certainly you can understand the difference.

right, because the cardinals have been much better than the reds post-1970s and haven't needed to change as much. but when they do, they don't mess around.

    Per Katie Woo Twitter:

The Cardinals are set to announce Oliver Marmol as their new manager Monday morning, sources tell me and @Ken_Rosenthal.

He will be the youngest MLB manager, at age 35 and has never managed above A ball.

Does that mean some other team could still get the Stubby Clapp?

Meh. Guy was a real piece of Shildt. Probably deserved.

Reds fired Dusty and then hired a disaster and kept him for a long time while the FO got cheap Siri was going to be good and they chose Aquino. Bad judgment. It still continues. The guy who was a diabatic became a star in Atlanta. What poor judgment. As usual.

The Braves let Duvall walk last year and calling him a star is a tad generous, as for Siri we will see... as for the first point agree 100%
