Wonder how all of this works from a contract basis with mlb, Sinclair, advertisers, broadcast carriers? Sports programming is worth zero right now even with the reruns. Soon it will be in the class with infomercials. Who is or isn't going to pay? Do players get paid? Will carriers honor their contract Sinclair? Sinclair to mlb?

I’m hoping they’ll re-broadcast the 1990 World Series at some point. Although it is on YouTube, I’d imagine the quality would be better in an official rebroadcast.

I’d like to re-watch some of the 2012 season too. That year was a lot of fun for me. Until the end, at least.

I have no idea how they got that number for MLB but it doesn't add up at all. May 28th would be 2 months of the season, gone - so 33%. The 30 teams in baseball have LOCAL tv contracts worth more than $1,600,000,000. So unless they know something about how the contracts pay out 90%+ even in a scenario that there's no baseball, that math doesn't get beyond a 1st grader as accurate.

FSN would probably chop it all to hell.

No. I haven’t gotten over that yet. I need a little more time. I still have Mat Latos-Buster Posey flashbacks with Ryan Hanigan’s disgust.

I should have mentioned it, but this is just ad revenue. The place I got this from was actually discussing NASCAR, so it may only be for national games as well.

I’d rather they play old games from the 70’s or 90’s. Not last year which we all still remember.
Imagine how many would tune in to hear Marty and Joe broadcast any game from 75, 76, 77, 78...

Sorry, just realized it’s Fox Sports Ohio not WLW. Anyway I like my idea better.

The 87 season was on channel 5. Marty and Joe would go back and forth between radio and TV. I'd watch some of those.
