Kudos to Phillips for just smiling at Stroupid. What a dolt.

He is a useful player, as a 4th OF (a 5th OF on a good club). But if he's a starter, then your team isn't very good.
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.

Ah, if only he had got the chance here.

I can laugh about it, but I still think Redszone was right about Deno. It wasn't so much that his supporters (myself included) thought he was a superstar, but he was younger and better than Ryan Freel and easily the Reds best CFer at that time.

I'm still a bit miffed that Jerry Narron gave him about all of a week as a regular.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I'd throw up and in until he straightened his cap. :O) I have no idea why that bugs me so much...but it does.

But lack of depth has destroyed the Reds for at least two seasons, arguably more.

Hopefully that will change as the team "reboots".

Yeah. Looking back, he should have had a chance, but in those days you would have thought he was a superstar the way people talked. He was Chris Heisey with good eyes (or something)

IMO the only weakness Deno had was a lack of power. Several pretty darned solid seasons with the Padres (especially considering that park).

Well, although he was a nice young player, a lot of that Deno-worship was tongue in cheek.

Speaking of which, what kind of fielder is Duvall? I would like to see him in left just to see what he would do.
