Negron with the "Edwin Encarnacion" play of a great diving stop and a throw into the stands.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Nice job by Leake to work out of trouble.

Steve Smith gave Leake a stop sign and Leake ran through it and scored

LOL, it seems that a whatever Steve Smith says, do the opposite policy has been adopted.

Sure have seen a lot of games like this this year.

Wasted days and wasted nights and wasted pitching.

    9/26/14 - Reds vs. Pirates

Leake ends the season at 214 1/3 innings.....only Cueto, Arroyo and Harang have had more for the Reds in a season in the past 18 seasons.

Pena has played better than I thought he would but he hasn't been good. I'll give him an ok.

I think Pena would have had a great year as the backup catcher. As the nominal starting 1B, wasn't so much the case.

As a backup catcher, I'd say he was pretty good (as a backup catcher that is). But like you said, too many ABs at other spots.

Harrison chips one off the plate and Bruce messes up a liner to right. 2-1 Bucs.
