Yeah, it is true. He's been very wild within the zone tonight. He's had a lot of trouble commanding all three or four of his pitches and has left the ball up in the zone a lot. He's almost always around the knees with his pitches.

That is too much for games that don't matter.

And the question is "Name the three worst hitters to hit consecutively in a MLB game in 2008....."

Astros beating the Pirates 3-2. Since the beginning of August...Houston is playing at a .722 clip. 26-10. I hate the Astros.

Ahhh shucks. Dusty used Hairston to pinch hit for Lincoln and ruined it....But they did go quickly 1, 2, 3....

But between Bako and Patterson, who ends up with a lower BA?

Bako now at .207, and Patterson at .201....

These Brewers announcers......the Reds are a dangerous offensive ballclub?....worried about Bush pitch count (He has barely 90)....against this joke of an offense?

I agree that this hitter (Patterson) will show if he stays.....since he is such an easy out...anything less than a 3 pitc h AB even while getting him out would be considered a failure by a pitcher.

Tonight was Volquez's sixth 10+ strikeout game of the season and second straight. He's now up to 184 K's on the season and should be a lock for 200 now.

No, it's not true but you're 21 years old and apparently you know everything. Pitchers often pitch 'up in the zone'. If you've been paying attention you've seen a lot of Reds hitters fall prey to that approach.

Volquez has been 'wild in the zone' but that includes being 'off the plate'. That's the way pitchers are. They don't drill the corners every pitch.

If you go three year stats it might be Bako
    Code:
    Bako .208 .281 .318 .599
    Hairston .231 .301 .323 .624
    Patterson .254 .291 .393 .684
