Phillip you don't know when your next start will be, you should probably at least go down swinging in these ABs.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Athletes are getting back into baseball because parents aren't letting their kids play football anymore. It's a trend that's going to continue until football figures out how to keep the players from getting CTE.

that made my ears hurt. Votto walking is good. You would think Joe Morgan of all people would articulate that.

    Joe Morgan logic:

"If I hadn't walked 1900 times in addition to my 2500 hits for a total of 4400 times on base, I could have had 3000 hits and gotten on base 3000 times total."

Sometimes it's like Joe has no idea what it really was that made him great.

Morgan made a lot more sense that last inning. I think he was articulating that he missed the swinging in the first inning but did note his appreciation for the style. The thing is: Votto's 5 walk game was exciting and a thing of beauty.

In 2018 they expanded the strike zone because of "On-Basin' Joey Votto."

And the kicker is he ended his whole diatribe with "now I'm not asking Votto to change his approach."

Thom is rubbing off on Joe.

    Yup

My 8th grade grandson got a concussion & whiplash last night in his football game

The giant by the ref is who he was to block - the big kid did nothing wrong - shoved my grandson and he tripped backwards over the quarterback- grandson is the center

Suarez picked off, Thom is pissed.
