wasn't he a closer in the minors? He may be a guy I would consider if they ever decide to move Iggy. Kind of appears to have the demeanor on the mound to be a closer....in the limited outings I have seen him.

He was. I might like to see a guy that pounds the strike zone more. I hope we see Ryan Hendrix before season is over.

    Re: 8-30-20 Reds vs Cubs

my outfield if I was manager would be

    RF - Castellanos
    CF - Senzel
    LF - Aquino

DH - Winker....also backup LF'er and get him comfortable playing 1B when possible as a backup

I would find a way to get Shogo in the lineup several times a week.

I would also call up Stephenson yesterday.

I feel like this team needs a decent change/spark....it might not work, but if things remain the same, I feel like at best we limp into a playoff spot based on other teams failing.

De Leon looked good yesterday. Can he put together 2 good outings?

Offense in MLB is about the long ball in 2020....the better teams are able to get a guy or two on when they hit the long ball, but it still seems like most runs come from the ball going over the fence. I want as many guys in my lineup that are likely to hit a HR as possible. Guys like Payton, Shogo and Tucker really do not fit that model.

Castellanos gets away with swinging at some bad ones. He’s aggressive and when he makes contact the ball flies. If he tries to be more selective he’d probably suffer. His style, not too many players can get away with it.

would love to see this offense with him and Winker on fire at the same time....they both have showed they can almost carry an offense when hot.

Agree with this assessment, but this brand of baseball is becoming boring. Every game a HR derby. All or nothing at the plate. Ugh. Get these guys off my lawn.

A little HR derby for the cubs. Must be fun.
