And that's fair, but why leave him in to begin with then?

He put the first two on and was laboring. Why wouldn't you pull him there unless you were letting him chase the no no?

    Galvis gets plunked

Tying run comes to the plate in the form of BOG

bases would be loaded with no outs if VanMeter does not swing at 2 pitches off the plate

I'm not going say much, but with the hitting of this team has gone south. Blandino 0-4, Suarez 0-3, Aquino 0-4, Iglesias 0-3, Barnhart pinch hit(why?), it goes on and on. You can't expect to win with 2 runs. that against a Seattle staff that has been horrible. I blame the hitting with the love for Gausman, a pitcher who showed me nothing at Alanta.

Probably because of all those times where they pulled a starter around 100 pitches only to see the bullpen falter and everyone go "and THAT'S you should stick with your best pitchers". Sonny was definitely not as sharp but he still hadn't allowed a single hit to that point.

Personally I envisioned a possible run scoring double at worst, I didn't see Sonny giving up a big fly there. But he did.
