    Tigers over Braves in WS

    NL MVP - Andruw Jones
    AL MVP - Ichiro
NL Cy young - Ben Sheets
Al Cy Young - Jeremy Bonderman
    NL ROY - Kevin Kouzmanoff
    AL ROY - Daisuke Matsuzaka
    Tigers WS Champs?

Whoa, that's a ballsy prediction. Mostly because it's not happening. No way no how. Though I could very easily see the Braves in the WS.

Tigers have the best 1 to 12 staff in Baseball and Gary Scheffield will boost the offense beyond last year.

Atlanta has a lot of good young players (McCann, Johnson, Francouer, Langerhans, Thorman, Kelly Johnson), Tim Hudson makes a comeback, Andruw Jones is MVP and the Bullpen turns games into 6 inning affairs, (and Craig Wilson will provide the offense that Jeff Conine won't).
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

    Toot.
I'm not saying Bonds won't have a big season and I was always of the opinion that the stupidest thing about Bonds using roids was that he didn't need them, but that was an exhibition game he was in today.

    Your 2007 Picks

Me and a friend of mine (who is a Mets fan) always try to pick who will finish the best out of each division every year. I was wondering what some of your picks are for this year. Here are mine:
AL East: Red Sox / Blue Jays
    AL Central: Tigers / Twins
    AL West: Anaheim
    NL East: Braves / Mets
    NL Central: Brewers
    NL West: Dodgers / Diamondbacks

I really like the look of Arizona. They have some superb young players and will really be in contention for the next few years if they hang on to them.

This would've been a good thread, say, over a month ago before the season started.

    Re: Your 2007 Picks

Can we pick two teams from every division?

I'm sure I can pick at least 5 of 6 division winners that way and parlay that into an expert gig on a major network.

    Just busting chops pal.

This thread might be a good idea for people to go back and change their minds on their pre season picks.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

    Re: Your 2007 Picks

Here are the picks I made at the start of the season. Some of them are already looking bad.

    AL:
    East- Red Sox
    Central- Indians
    West- Angels
    WC- Detroit

    NL:
    East- Phillies
    Central- Cardinals
    West- Dodgers
    WC- Diamondbacks

The World Series is going to be Indians over Dodgers.

Shak.....Did you seriously pick the Cardinals to win the NL Central???

You do know they have the worst offense in MLB and Carpenter is now out basically for the season? My Astros are bad, but the Cards are worse and not repeating. The Cards are probably going to challenge 100 loses.

I actually think the Brewers or Reds can win the central. But the Reds will have to fix the bullpen in a hurry.
