I’m thinking more about tommorrow and the week (or hopefully more) ahead.

You want an endless number of bullets in the pen. Real ones. Not rubber Romano ones.

    Not the least bit surprised.

    Meh.

OK - and I am not missing that. I do know baseball, and pitching in particular.

But at some point you have to focus on winning the only game you can win -TODAYS, because you are not playing tomorrows game, you only play todays. And at some point, the Reds (collectively) need to learn the urgency it takes to WIN. That missing urgencies is WHY THE OFFENSE IS FLAT.

8 HRs in 9 innings pitched. Just real bad, I think they’ve got to DFA.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

It will interesting to see what roster move they make once Miley is ready.

Could be Sal back to Prasco or whatever, but I wouldn't mind it if they just cut Stephenson.

He's giving up more jacks than that girl caught with Bob Kraft who owns the Patriots.

    Not today Kal.

If you are around winning organizations you recognize how the culture is built. And you can't slip into a "tomorrow" mentality

I get it jup that you are frustrated and you know a lot about the game.

But do you think putting say Garrett and Bradley in to hold it at 2-0 magically produces 2 runs for the offense?

Maybe that pitching choice inspires them to do so, but maybe not.

    They'd won 6 in a row.

This isn't a video game where everyone's stamina resets when you play another exhibition. Today's pitching decisions impact the next 4 days.

If you're going to lose, minimize the impact of it. That's the one thing they accomplished tonight.

I mean this seriously and it does go with what jup is saying.

Would a “get the hell out of here Bob Steve” inspire the guys, or deflate them as one of their own is sent packing?

He’s not bad. But he’s an extreme fly ball pitcher in GAPB. He’s a bad fit for this team.

Reds are still very much in the race. I believe they are now tied with the Brewers and Giants for the last wild card spot. I have no idea what the tie breaker is, but being tied for that spot is a decent place to be in.
