Correct, but it sounds like it could easily be a Wilbury's song.

And Jeff Lynne as a producer is completely underrated.

I mentioned Sam Cooke in our best singers thread. I stand by that. That song is maybe his best.

And I could listen to "Maps" all day long.

I was convinced it was a Wilbury song so much I searched to prove it was . I was wrong.

I watched a documentary once (forget who the subject was)) and a big piece of it was about the huge demand for Lynne as a producer.
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.

Lynne was the glue behind the Wilburys, and I suspect he was the mastermind behind Full Moon Fever (as opposed to Petty) among others.

A great song, especially while driving at night. The song's video was also good, with Jennifer Connelly.
"Hey...Dad. Wanna Have A Catch?" Kevin Costner in "Field Of Dreams."

True story, today I had to call MLB TV about my account, while on hold I heard some Squeeze.

I however knew who they were... then I heard some Pretenders

Oh, no one really made the case for Kate Bush, but she may have been the subject of The Flys' "Name Dropping", which ought to advance her case.

All I know about Kate Bush is that right after I got out of the service I bought one of her albums (this was 1980). And if you throw it like a frisbee out of a third-floor window, it goes a helluva long way. I was drunk at the time (and pretty much throughout the entire decade) and so my wrist was pretty flexible. Does she belong in the Rock HOF? I have no idea.

Is that the B-side to "Flying Out That Window"?

One of the things I love about them is that their songs are simple and unpretentious without all sounding the same. But I don't remember any of their songs sounding like Air Supply.

If you haven't seen either of these, they're worth your time:

Originally written for Cyndi Lauper, and I prefer her version. All three of these are overproduced for my taste though:

On a side note, it's always a fun game to take songs with the word "crept" in the lyrics and change each "crept" to "crapped." Kinda changes the vibe a bit.
