I don't understand the consternation about this move.

Miley had a short spring training. He was at 70+ pitches. He was not going to finish the next inning under any circumstances. On top of that, all pitchers are going to be asked to pitch 2x or more innings in 2021 than 2020 - the teams that succeed for the season will be the teams with healthy starters with mileage left in August and September.

Once you realize Miley has to come out, what's the next move?

I have no problem with decision to take out Miley. And Antone is your best reliever. There was just no reason to double switch. Over thinking that cost us India for rest of game.

Like someone else said, the move made sense considering who was batting for us the next inning, but India was also in some discomfort after that HBP on his left elbow. Farmer is an adequate player, I have no issues w/Bell's move.

There was a reason. To avoid Antone leading off the Reds’ seventh.

One may not like the reason, but that was it.
