Detroit tied with KC in the ninth and Minnesota leading the sox in the seventh. If they both win, who takes the division? Their records would be identical.

I had dreams about the Minnesota Twins all last night. Very strange.

Whoever won the head to head series wins the division. Happened to StL and HOU a few years ago.

Wth Wayne at the helm, your dreams may be premonitions.

Would be the Tigers then. So I am rooting for the Tigers to lose. I don't want the Yankees to face the Twins in a five-game series. I also would like to see the Twins-Yankees in a seven-game ALCS. For some reason I think it would be some bang-up baseball in seven.

KC/Detroit still tied in the twelfth and I'm not going to get anything done until it's over. I have to hand it to Kansas City, they're playing hard at the end of the season and it seems they seem to pop up when important things are on the line, even if they aren't directly affected by it.

Twins did end up beating the Sox 5-1. Quite an accomplished latter part of the season for them.

I agree, it took a few months to get to like him but I will miss him. He seems like a really nice, likable, decent man. Good luck Steve.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

KC have taken a 10-8 lead. now bottom of the twelfth; Detroit has clearly lost interest in winning as they have just put in Neifi Perez to pinch hit.

    Shockingly, Neifi grounds out.

Jimmy Gobble, my new favorite-named player, is pitching for the Royals.

That sucks for Tigers. I was pulling for 'em.

Ah well. At least they made it. I hope they win, but they won't.

I hope the Padres win the NL. I think they might.

    I think they will too.

So now I have to twist my hands to see who wins the West before starting predictions. If I understand correctly, whoever wins will host St. Louis Tuesday at 4 pm and the wild card will go to New York for a 4 pm Wednesday game. What we definitely know is:

The Yankees will host Detroit Tuesday at 8 pm (Wang pitching for the Yanks)
The Twins will host the A's Tuesday at 1 pm
