Golf in the Olympics? I can see Rugby in there since it's a team sport but the golf thing doesn't work for me. *shrugs* Oh well. I guess this means softball is still out too? That's a bummer. Those women don't really have anywhere else big to play and that's a shame that they won't have the Olympics to look forward to anymore.

Nobody's sending their A teams in men's soccer. I've got a funny feeling if the sport were popular in Europe rather than in the Americas and the Far East, it would be in there without question.

I'll confess, I hardly ever watch the olympics. Most of the sports in it are boring to me. I would have watched some baseball. The only good part about golf, maybe Tiger will play. If he does, I'd watch that.

I really hope they don't try and do a team event like I've heard rumored for golf.

It's called either the Ryder Cup or the President's Cup.

Played in a golf tourney one time where you subtracted from your score the number of beers you drank.

I fully believe that. The biggest thing holding baseball back is the fact that Europe stinks at it.

It's sort of weird, because I'm the same way about a lot of the sports. I wouldn't normally spend five seconds watching handball or field hockey. I don't know where you could even watch the modern pentathlon. But slap the Olympic rings on it and I can't get enough. I'm just a sucker that way.

The sad thing is the Olympics take out real sports like baseball and softball but they continue to have ridiculous sports like synchronized swimming and rhythmic gymnastics.
