Sean Newcomb and a power reliever for Bruce. That's my deal with the Angels. Maybe Cam Bedrosian or maybe a major league reliever.

The Angels have one of the worst farm systems in MLB. There is virtually nothing they have that would interest me. And I have very little interest in trading Bruce to begin with, as I feel his value will actually be higher this offseason, as I think he'll have an .825 OPS by years end. Only way I trade Bruce is if you do something like package him, Cueto and Chapman and trade them to LA for Seager and Puig. Outside of something like that, keep him.

You could be right. No rush to trade Bruce unless a great offer for him is made.

I really hope the Reds don't trade Jay Bruce. They control him for two more seasons, at a great price. His walk rate is by far the highest of his career, his strike out rate is the lowest it's been since 2009. He looks like he's taking another step. I wouldn't trade him unless the return is significant. Maybe a deal along the lines of Bruce to Mets for OF Michael Conforto and RHP Michael Fulmer. Or straight up for Steven Matz.

Keep Bruce, Frazier and Votto. With Suarez and Barnhart Arriving, Mes and Cozart retuning and Winker, Waldrop, Y-Rod coming the position side looks better than it has in a while. Target arms with Cueto, Leake, Byrd, Phillips, Chapman, Parra, Badenhop, Pena and Skippy as the guys they should be looking to move from the big league roster. The Reds should not be afraid to throw a couple of those minor league arms in a deal if need be. The team has plenty of back-end bullpen bound pitching prospects. Need a TOR starter or two.

He really hasn't been all that "streaky" this season at all. Had a rough first month, but other than he's been consistantly good.

Really hope they don't trade him; or if they do its a year from now. Give him another year to see if he's worthy of keeping around as a Matt Holliday type on our roster.

I'm not seeing any sense in trading Bruce, who is under possible team control just as long as Frazier is. Why trade one and not the other? Would reek of being half in, half out.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
