They’ve gotten differently deployed. It’s pretty apples/oranges to compare starters in 82 vs. now. It’s the 4 inning, 160 innings-a season-for-an-ace-era of baseball. But if the Reds had a guy like Soto, capable of throwing complete games, 8 inning games with regularity they’d be a dangerous team in this age of parity.

You ignore stuff. Soto could coast against the Johnny LeMasters of the world. His stuff would be considered average-- at best-- today.

I’m not ignoring. You’re simply pointing out what I’m saying. It’s impossible to do an apples to apples comparison. I’m sure if you transported this 2022 team with its 100 mph pitchers and physically trained to the hilt athletes back to 1982 with dudes sporting beer bellies, yeah this team would mop up in 1982. I’m simply saying, it’s relative. This 2022 team only looks better than 1982 because of parity. This is a terrible team that will finish in the bottom third of everything but it won’t sport a gaudy 100 loss figure.

The Y'alls are a professional team, they are not affiliated with Major League Baseball. Instead, they are a member of the Frontier League, an independent baseball league.

The Florence Y'alls baseball team fires back at Cincinnati Reds President and COO Phil Castellini on Friday.

The Y'alls released a new shirt that mocks Castellini's statement
"Where are you going to go?"

    Florence Y’alls
    @florence_yalls

    Y'all asked, Y'all shall receive.
Our Pre-Order Only "Where Y'alls Gonna Go?" Shirts are now LIVE!
They'll only be available until this Sunday, 4/17/22. After 11:59 pm, the pre-order will be over, and the sale will end.
    Act fast Y'all *♂️

I know you've rarely been accused of this, but I think you're wildly overrating the current Reds' offense.

Well, that's what those words mean. He was here. If they don't keep him, he will have been lost/subtracted. I headed out the door today with two shoes on my feet. If I don't return with them, I have lost them. If I do return with them, I haven't added them. ---M2

In his time, that was some serious gas. Today? It's below average.

This team hasn’t won a game since Phil opened his mouth.

The players have eyes and ears too.

Imagine working for a company who's leadership basically says, "we make more money by not succeeding."

How would that effect your morale and effort given?

...Phil really pooped the bed on this one. And the only reason he still has a job is because he's got the Veggie Tales hookup for a last name.

Rampant nepotism destroys morale as well, so Reds ownership really is firing on all cylinders at this point. And nevermind the front office... the Reds players need to look no further than the dugout for evidence.

Gas isn’t everything. Check out Kyle Hendricks between 2014-2020. In 2016 he had a 2.13 ERA. Best in baseball. Average fastball is 88 mph.
What would you say.....ya do here?
