The LB that signed with Carolina from what I have read wanted to stay in Florida and the Bengals cannot offer cash bonuses beacuse the Browns have never understood what diversifying their portfolio means.

I would say no state income tax would be pretty appealing in Florida. Dont understand pivoting to Carolina though if that was the case.

They made the playoffs. They are up and coming. 2 years ago they were Cleveland level. That’s all I got.

Then why make a deal for Crosby? That was a huge overpay

As for Hendrickson, word is that they're giving him $60mill guaranteed. I don't think any other team was willing to do that. That said I hate it when division rivals pick off our best players. It happens a lot

They backed out of the Crosby deal conveniently after most teams blew their wads on free agents. Now Crosby is stuck in Las Vegas and the Ravens signed the best DE on the market.

Exactly my point. It wasn't a chess move to begin with. Kudos to them for correcting their mistake.

As for Trey, nothing 3D chess about it. They met his demands

The remaining LB options at the moment look pretty thin…

The Patriots just released Anfernee Jennings. He’s still fairly young, good blitzer, played well for Belichek but didn’t fit Vrabel’s defense.

Bobby Wagner is still out there. Played well enough last year, good mentor, but at his age it could all go away quickly.

Bobby Okereke can’t really plug up the middle, but he can chase sideline to sideline, was a three-year captain for the Giants, and their nominee for Walter Payton Manof the Year this year.

After that, you get into Akeem Davis-Gaither territory. The Bengals need to move on somebody, preferably today.

I've got a suspicion that Hendrickson is about to fall off the map in terms of production. Or maybe that's just my wishful thinking that the Ravens get stuck with a massive, bad contract.

That being said, I wonder if the Bengals might move on Crosby with something like Stewart and a 2nd rounder.

I've not seen a report or rumor that the Bengals are even remotely interested in Crosby. My guess is he ends up in Dallas

Trey is a great player but pretty one dimensional, he's terrible against the run. I'd almost say he's a liability unless you're playing with a lead all the time.

I'd rather him on the Ravens than Crosby honestly.

I guess the counter-point would be that the Ravens have blown some crazy leads the last few years. Getting a closer like Trey will help with that.

Love to know what the physical said about Crosby. Can Bengals take a risk at cheaper asking price?
