Braves put Strider on the IL with an oblique strain.

They've had a string of bad news this spring.

I assume all of Atlanta is calling Strider soft and questioning his desire to play baseball.

    The Braves have now lost:

    - Ha-Seong Kim until May
    - Sean Murphy until May
    - Joey Wentz all year
    - Hurston Waldrep until mid-season
    - Spencer Schwellenbach until mid-season
    - Spencer Strider for at least a few weeks

All before the season has even started.

And Profar for the entire season (albeit for different reasons than injury but result is the same)

    They're brutal over at Chopzone.

I remember them being amazed at how fast Deion Sanders was too. "boy that Deion sure is fast. What do they call that? a triple?"
School's out. What did you expect?

Cubs, Pete Crow-Armstrong Agree To Extension
March 24th: It’s a six-year deal starting in 2027 worth $115MM, reports Jeff Passan of ESPN.

That means it buys out Crow-Armstrong’s four arbitration seasons and what would have been his first two free agent years. There are no options in the deal.

Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports that Crow-Armstrong can unlock an extra $18MM via escalators.

Yankees go 1-2-3 in the top of the first inning of the first game of 2026.

    Season's over for them.

On ‘Netflix Opening Night,’ fans just wanted to watch ‘The Show’

It’s the same mistake. These companies may have trillions of dollars and a lot of smart people, but they miss something about their services.

On Major League Baseball’s Opening Night, Netflix thought we wanted to watch Netflix. Nope, we wanted to watch baseball: the Yankees vs. the Giants. It happened to be on Netflix. It’s that simple.

It was the first game of the 2026 season and the inaugural exclusive MLB game on the service. For MLB and Netflix, it was a bit of celebration to have the league and such a powerful media player together.

Good for them. But fans don’t care.

They were in the middle of interviewing the Giants manager and missed the live pitch. Like, didn’t even cut to the actual pitch and missed it entirely. They mentioned it right away and laughed about it but it was a good example of their approach as a whole.
