You might be on to something here....8 man lineup. That sounds like a great stategy, but they should drop Hayes instead of Stewart.

    Re: 4-20-26 Reds @ Rays 6:40PM

The Reds have scored just 78 runs through their 22 games played this year, yet they’ve managed to win 14 of those and sit in 1st place in their division after their weekend sweep of the Minnesota Twins.

The Tampa Bay Rays, meanwhile, have seen their runners score 103 times through just 21 games, yet they sit in 2nd place in their own division with 12 wins after dropping two of three over the weekend against Pittsburgh.

Not all baseball is played alike.

Sooner or later KBH has to get a hit. But how many more times can they keep starting him the the lineup, seeing how atrocious the offense has been?

Playing Hayes instead of Lowe’s .333 OBP is definitely a choice.

    Just win!

Hayes is a lifetime .249 hitter...not great, but he's a proven hitter...he's going to start hitting eventually.

.564 OPS since his back injury in 1,000+ PA's, so he's going to hit a little bit, but not much.

    That didn't take long...

Hayes is a RZ heat magnet. The Roddy Piper of RZ. RZ'ers already launching Hayes missiles.

Nice try, Ron. But, I think they are going to make us send 9 different guys to the plate before using the top of the order again. Tito might try to slip that by the umpire, but I think the opposing Manager will insist that somebody bats 9th.

(Of course, I just did the reverse jinx and Hayes will reach twice while only making one out on Offense tonight.)

Eventually, Hayes will get a base hit and I’ll be here saying “I told you so.” It’s up to you whether to apologize.

It's a lonely life being a Hayes' apologist.

    Team BABIP around .250; I don't think that's sustainable.
