I’ve seen quite a few games at The Trop. Quite a few things there you won’t find elsewhere.

After a few shaky early outings Johnson has been really good.

I can't say that I was sure of it. But I trust Lowder more than most and I have more faith in a starter bouncing back from an inning of walks than one where he is hit hard, even if they happen to be hard outs.

Remember the bullpens at Crosley Field?
I sat in the 2nd row behind the Reds bullpen down the 3B line with a friend and his Dad once when we were kids

Is one-game considered a streak? If so, Hayes is on a hitting streak. 55 games to go to match Joltin' Joe.

Mattie always swinging below the ball and either striking out or popping out. He somehow, someway needs to get his bat down about 1/2 an inch on ball when he makes contact.

Be realistic. Let him shoot for Pete Rose's before we start talking the Joltin' one.

All you have to do here is not walk guys. And yet.

    By the way, it's 4/20. Smoke'em if you got'em.
