I don't know that they are for sure better but to this point there are a lot of teams like the Blue Jays, Red Sox, the entire AL Central, etc. that people had thought would be pretty good and they have played awful and or had a lot of injuries.
I think it will even itself out as I don't think St Louis is as good as they are playing same with the Reds and outside the NL Central there are only 3 teams over .500 so not like the whole NL is really killing it either.
Reds Revenge tour begins today.
Enough losing.
When the going gets tough . . . .

This Reds season reminds me of a lyric from the old Frank Sinatra song That’s Life.
Riding High in April, shot down in May.
That ends right now.
Probably in wrong thread but putting the baseball world on notice. The Reds winning resumes now.

Giants traded their C to Cleveland for a decent look AA starter and a competitive balance pick this year. I would have done that for Stephenson if it was possible.
Empathy is about standing in someone else's shoes, feeling with his or her heart, seeing with his or her eyes. Not only is empathy hard to outsource and automate, but it makes the world a better place.

I still hold out hope for Stephenson. His hard hit ball rate is up, his K rate is down and his BB rate is up from a year ago. He is underperforming his xOPS, so the hope is a reversal to the mean and his #'s start to improve. He is still a better option than Trevino.
Maybe his hit to RF that just dropped in front of the OF today is a good sign, and it will be the start of some better luck hitting the ball.

Not much of a comparison between him and TS, as he is the elite defensive catcher in the league.
I would have done that deal for Bailey.
Yeah, he doesn't hit, but the Reds don't really have a plan for life after Stephenson. And basically no catchers can hit, so you might as well get some defense out of the position. I thought Trevino would be that guy, but his D has really slipped from his peak.
