Turned on the Cubs-Astros game. Cubs were up 3-2, now they're down 7-3.

    You're welcome.

This is some crazy stuff, ABS is affecting things as well, BB are up and command is becoming uber important, the game is shrinking opportunities and fans continue to expect offensive performance from 25 years ago.

I feel as though we are in the mid 60s, dragging offense and HRs

Personally I'm really interested in the nature of the game more than anything, including being a redass Reds fan

Empathy is about standing in someone else's shoes, feeling with his or her heart, seeing with his or her eyes. Not only is empathy hard to outsource and automate, but it makes the world a better place.

Not as much as it has to do with velocity, launch angle approach and looking for your perfect pitch

The Youngest Players In MLB History
Baseball has always had a complicated relationship with youth. The minor league system exists precisely to keep teenagers away from the majors until they are ready, and modern player development means that even the most hyped prospects typically spend years grinding through the farm system before they ever see a big league stadium.

The average age of an MLB debut has climbed steadily over the decades, and today it would be genuinely shocking to see someone younger than 18 take the field in a regular-season game.

This makes the players on this list almost impossible to imagine by modern standards. Most of them debuted during World War II, when rosters were gutted by military service, and teams were so desperate for warm bodies that they were willing to hand a uniform to someone who had not yet finished high school.

A few came later, products of an era when international signings were less regulated, and teams could rush a teenager straight to the big leagues without the oversight that exists today.

Some of these players went on to have long, successful careers. Others appeared in a handful of games and were never heard from again. A couple of them were so young that their stories feel more like baseball folklore than actual history.
Here's our list of the 10 of the youngest players and their stories:

Shane Baz faces Griffen Jax in the Orioles/Rays game today.

I wonder if that is the fewest number of letters in the last names of a starting pitching matchup ever.

Sox ended up losing in extras but I was at this game last night and man when Murakami connected on this one it was electric. I'm still getting used to these bigger crowds being back at Rate Field after the last few years of 100 loss seasons .

Right now, the Cubs and Pirates are tied for last place in the division, and yet they have a better record than the first place team in the AL west, where every team is below .500.

We’re going to have to improve our game vs this division. That’s our biggest weakness right now

After striking out Alec Burleson last night, Brewers pitcher Abner Uribe punctuated the strikeout with a Degeneration X style crotch chop. In one hand if he did this against the Reds I'd be pretty mad but this was against the Cardinals so it's kind of hilarious.

Oh damn, I didn't realize the As were in first place. Sacramento deserves one playoff series, I guess, for putting up with the transient As for three years.

Only eight teams have more wins then the Reds, only three of them are in the AL

Your favorite team, the Detroit Tigers, are awful. Who do you think they will look to deal?

    We must tear it down.
