This was a very winnable game. Sure, lots of bad ABs but Burns pitched great and the Reds managed to tie it up and, with a competent pen against a bad Royals club, I felt good going into the 9th. Boy was I wrong.

As the team is currently comprised, it just isn't major league caliber. It's bleak. There's nothing in the system that is going to help with any real effect. And we know that they are incapable of making any trades. If we don't get some divine help, it's gonna be over before the break.
