    Shocked to see that.
I guess that triple yesterday didn't help CES. I think this was a good move. What's Trevino's issue? Higgins can't hit a lick. Worse at the dish than Trevino

    CES will be claimed.

I’ll bet we can find a trade partner. We can get a lower-level minor league lottery ticket pitcher with a big fastball. Let’s go.

There are a handful of bad teams that would probably give CES a long look this year.

Some kind of spine issue for Trevino.

Looks like Reds gave up on CES. Interesting.

The reds being at the bottom of the league on offense isn’t a sustainable situation moving forward.

They were playing him at third too... too much swing and miss, no position

Doesn't sound like a good injury for a catcher. I wonder why they decided on Higgins and not Will Banfield? Seems like Banfield would have been the choice. In looking at their stats it looks like Banfield was the starter in Louisville and Higgins was the backup

CES gave a certain vibe i really liked. Nick Esasky. Lot's of power and line drives, a guy you would not be surprised to look at and see he's hitting .340 or something. Never got healthy. I think a team needing a 1B/DH just might take a flyer on him at the MLB level, but if they can deal for him, that's better for the Reds.

I had high hopes for an IF of CES, McLain, EDLC and Marte. I'm beginning to wonder if Marte will stick in the OF.

I think it's the right call to cut bait on CES. Probably not too far off from that point with Steer for that matter, though he probably doesn't get replaced until the summer unless it gets real bad. It was fun to imagine getting two good regulars in that Mahle trade but you can't let that hope still shade things years later.

I'm not predicting... so much as, well ok I am predicting.

He could squeak through waivers. Not like the Reds have a guy ready to take his place. But I won't be stunned if COL or SEA take a flyer on him. Maybe the White Sox.

Nathaniel Lowe couldn't find an MLB contract and his numbers looked better than CES. Some team might give him a minor league deal but I doubt he gets more

Lowe is about to be 31. CES is 26. That can influence. Plus every GM thinks they win every transaction and have the guys to "fix" a player. I imagine if he gets claimed you are correct and it's a minor league assignment. But I also think the claiming team would have an eye on a guy like Rooker and think I can get my Rooker two years sooner.

Not going to miss CES. Waste of a roster spot IMO.

Scoring change from last night's game removes the error. Rightfully so. That was a ridiculous, confusing call.

    The error-free streak continues

CES has 2 BB to 14 SO in AAA this year the writing was on the wall especially with so many other guys on that team hitting well.
